Landscape
A bit of evening sketching.
Things I want:
Restore my website. I miss the old one, it had more images and a playful outlook on life. This new one is more corporate, suit and tie, trying to be professional. Also I’m not too fond of the gallery function in iWeb, it needs something else. Any suggestions on what to use?
Write more. Doesn’t have to be great, but words, one after the other, that form story.
Draw more. I’ve worked a lot at trying to paint landscapes, interiors with lots of complex geometry is another weak spot. How to make stiff, static shapes express anything but technical skill (or lack thereof)? Where’s the groove? Some find it and do it well, I must work.
I take a lot of photos but have been shy to show them. The pictures are usually of the same thing over and over, my wife picking mushrooms, and the woods we like to hang out in. Here’s a sample, taken last year - can’t wait for summer to return...

From imagination, as part of my daily speedpaint routine;
This weekend I went to visit the Röhsska design museum in Gothenburg. They had a section of traditional asian sculptures and I snapped some ref with my phone camera. Here's a study losely based on of one of them:
Also, a young Charles Darwin, before the santa make-over:After some persuasion from my colleagues Bradley and Henrik I finally went and bought "The Marquis: Inferno" by Guy Davis. It is a remarkable work of art and time well spent reading, I will return to it again in the future I'm sure.
Inspired by Mr Davis' creature design (he is quite compassionate in his portrayal of the beasts of hell) I wanted to paint a "devil" of my own.
